The DS2 cutter was cobbled together from a flashlight and a medical plasma cutter, it's not a 211-V model by any means.

- True, albeit I am not certain we should change the article name, just make a new section for Isaac's improvised Plasma Cutter (however, despite being improvised, the thing seems alot more powerful and versatile then the actual Plasma Cutter... - 211-V in DS2 is identical to the vanilla cutter. If any breakthroughs in the plasma technology were made in three years since DS1, they were used in both medical and mineral tools. Komodo Saurian 03:21, February 6, 2011 (UTC)
- Also, the picture we have on that article is of the medical cutter. That should be replaced with the classic version. Maybe it would be better is we called the page "plasma cutter" rather than by it's official name. This should be the case with all weapons, actually. Zealot Guytalk
- I don't know about changing all the articles to their generic names; thus far, only the Plasma Cutter has had an issue like this, so the article names should stay the same. However, if you want to move the picture of Isaac's Plasma Cutter out of the infobox and down directly to the section talking about the DS2 Plasma Cutter feel free.--Haegemonia(talk) 02:55, February 6, 2011 (UTC)

Maybe medical tools are more powerful than mining tools at this point, Haege. Just look at that surgical laser on the Valor that you have to stasis lest Isaac be sliced to pieces. --LBCCCP 06:07, February 6, 2011 (UTC)

- Don't assume ignorance to get a laugh, dear. I'm well aware different configurations of the same weapon exist, they also always have different designnations to tell them apart, smartass. Which was the joke, in case you missed it. Three weapons just called "Pulse Rifle" when they're all clearly different configurations.
