James Hannigan (born 23rd July, 1971) is a BAFTA Award Winning Composer. He was the co-composer of Dead Space 3 and Dead Space 3: Awakened's music score, and was responsible for the game's main theme.

Biography[]

Hannigan has composed numerous scores for games, television and audio drama, including entries in the Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Command and Conquer, Warhammer, Runescape, Theme Park, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Evil Genius, EA Sports video game series. Among his credits are full-cast audio dramas in Neil Gaiman's The Sandman series (DC/Audible) featuring James McAvoy, Regé-Jean Page, David Tennant and Michael Sheen; The Alien series of audio dramas, the Harry Potter audiobook series narrated by Stephen Fry, Discworld, and numerous others. Hannigan's other credits include Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 (with Tim Curry and J.K. Simmons), Chris Roberts' Freelancer, Catwoman (VG), Art Academy (also heard in Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. series), Steelrising, Republic: The Revolution (BAFTA Nomination, Music, 2003; designed by Google Deepmind founder, Sir Demis Hassabis), entries in the F1 and FIFA game series, Terraria: Otherworld, Conquest: Frontier Wars, Brute Force, Command and Conquer 4, Space Hulk, Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat, Privateer 2: The Darkening (with Christopher Walken and John Hurt), BBC Radio 4's audio adaptations of Good Omens and Neverwhere (with Christopher Lee, James McAvoy and Benedict Cumberbatch) and more. His awards and nominations also include an IFMCA (International Film Music Critics Association) Award and BAFTA Nomination in 2010 for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (VG), BAFTA Nominations for FA Premier League Manager and Evil Genius, and a Webby People's Choice award for the music of Audible's The Sandman: Act II.

Among Hannigan's most popular tracks are Red Alert 3 Theme: Soviet March and The Song of Orpheus sung by Regé-Jean Page from The Sandman Act II. His music has been heard in numerous TV shows ranging from The Grand Tour and Top Gear to The World According to Jeff Goldblum.
