M. Smith was a member of Benson's team during the Necromorph outbreak on the USG Ishimura. He was mentioned in an audio log, being one of the first survivors to find a way to take down the Necromorphs.

Biography

At some point during the Necromorph outbreak, Smith joined Benson's team as they battled the Necromorphs on the Ishimura. When they were venturing through the vents, the group was attacked by one of the creatures. Smith, using his cutter, was able to dismember the Necromorph, leading Benson to record a log and inform other survivors of the discovery. It is likely that Smith was killed sometime afterwards.
