Phantom Necromorphs are a sub-breed of the Necromorph infection that appear in the New Game+ mode of Dead Space (2023).

Traits[]

All Phantom Necromorphs feature the same universal attacks and habits as their basic form. However, they possess much more health; dispatching them can be challenging as they can withstand twice as much punishment as their Enhanced form.

Phantom Necromorphs have either black or red skin, in some cases appearing almost purple, and possess distinctive red glowing eyes.

Though Phantom Necromorphs are specifically a New Game+ feature, a Phantom Slasher appears during the normal playthrough immediately after completing the "Premeditated Malpractice" side-mission.
