wasent red factions army also called the earth defence force or edf

It's a pretty common term used in Sci-Fi games nowadays.(7alk) 02:11, December 27, 2009 (UTC)

Military Branches[]

If there is an EDF marine corps and navy do you think there is an EDF army and airforce? Or have they been absorbed into the marine corps and navy. It would be likely since the mission profile of the marines better suits space combat but isnt competition an important factor in the military? Or maybe there is but they are used for different purposes hence why the army has never appeared in any dead space games.( eg. the marine corps specialises in ship boarding operations while the army specialises in planetary assault or peacekeeping missions on the planetary colonies) Is it possible that the sprawl security officers are part of the EDF army or am I just making things up? But I think it is likelier that the army was absorbed into the marine corps because the marines use Soldier Rigs and it is an insult for marines to be called soldiers since soldiers are enlisted army personnel. Please tell me your opinion. A reply would be appreciated.118.100.235.162 07:58, February 26, 2011 (UTC)Hazmat

Taser in Aftermath[]

Do you think we should create a page like Unknown Taser since the EDF Marines seen in Dead Space: Aftermath are seen to have and use tasers?? I was just thinking it would be a good idea since we have an unknown for the rifle used in Aftermath. Or is the taser they pull out from its holster the secondary mode of that rifle??? it doesnt seem likely to me though.Squattop 19:59, February 3, 2012 (UTC)

I'm not a fan of the articles based off of things that don't really have a lot of corresponding information. If we didn't already have several "unknown" item articles, I'd say no. However, since we already do have them, I say go ahead as long as you can make it at least as long as the other unknown item articles. --LBCCCP 23:08, February 3, 2012 (UTC)
