- No. Spider is the official name, crab is not. Mmm, Crispy... 11:53, April 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Please provide source information for that. I have been unable to find any evidence of "The Spider" anywhere - or "The Urchin" for that matter. Auguststorm1945 19:53, April 1, 2010 (UTC)
You know, he's right. I can't find moot on what the two bosses are called... but we can't just call them "the middle boss" and "the last boss" can we? there has to be some name for them. I'll keep looking DisMEMBAH 19:58, April 1, 2010 (UTC)
Slug?[]
I don't remember The Spider ever dying so is it possible that the Spider later went on to become the Slug? Would this be worth putting in the Trivia section if one is added?-General Q-Nek
- Sure it's entirely possible, except there's no actual in-game suggestion that they're one and the same so it's pure speculation. SteveZombie 20:26, April 18, 2010 (UTC)
- Well think about it, the Spider runs away, and is nowhere to be seen in the Original Dead Space. You'd think that it'd either pop up somewhere and attack during Issac's run through since he came by after the "Extraction" crew had left, or at least be seen somewhere. The only three good explanations I can think of is either A: it went in front of an active ADS Cannon and got killed, B: It jumped off the ship, hoping to run into another ship or highly populated area, or C: it turned into the Slug, but hey, that's just me. Vain-king 07:02, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
It can't really be alternative B since all the ADS cannons were offline for a long while, so i think it turned into the Slug. If nothing else then for the reason i think it sounds sort of silly that TWO gigantic monsters would crawl around on the hull of the Ishumora (i though that even one was sort of like pushing it) but then again this is only my opinion and i respect you guys opinion too. :) --FreddeX 19:57, June 10, 2010 (UTC)
Also, it seems like the only pure Necromorph that isn't seen dying by the player.General Q-Nek 17:39, July 22, 2010 (UTC)
Q-Nek has a point, it IS the only boss Necromorph not seen dying by the player, so where could it have went? The only plausable way I can truely think of is that it became fatter until it became the slug. Vain-king 22:13, December 15, 2010 (UTC)
- Or it's never seen again. SteveZombie 13:26, January 6, 2011 (UTC)
